Last Time we Visited Minneapolis

We had a great trip to Minneapolis, MN this month.  Melody and our son Dane were able to take a walk about through the gardens at the Walker Art Museum.  We made the ususal stop at the Wedge Coop and checked out the Seward Coop.  Both grocers had lots of good eats - quality, organic, and locally grown.

It was a beautiful fall day for our hike around Minnehaha Falls Park.  Below is a photograph of Melody in front of the Stevens House.  The Stevens House was the first house built west of the Mississippi River in 1849.  It was moved a couple of times before ending up in Minnehaha Falls Park for our enjoyment.

We enjoyed our evening meals at the Punch Neapolitian Pizza, Poor Richards Commonhouse, and Town Hall Brewery near campus.  Pizzas at Punch are cooked in a wood burning oven and are delicious.  Mike and Melody shared a salad and a pizza with capers and anchovies - very salty, so the beer hit the spot.  The food and beers at the other two places were spot on.  Mike suggests the black and blue (bleu) burger at the Town Hall Brewery.

Photograph of Dane at the Town House Brewery.  You have to check out the Town Hall Brewery web site, its pretty cool.

Happy trails from Minneapolis, ...Mike & Melody
